Republic of Namibia Coat of Arms

At its 11th Annual Roundtable held in Accra, Ghana, AFTRA unanimously endorsed Namibia as the host of the 2023 Conference and Roundtable. Therefore, the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture of Namibia and Namibian National Teachers’ Union (NANTU), both members of AFTRA, will work collaboratively to host the events.

Considering that Ministry and NANTU also hosted the AFTRA 4th Conference and 6th Roundtable in 2015, Namibia now joins the rank of the unique countries to host the events twice since AFTRA’s inauguration in 2010. This demonstrates the frontline position of Namibia in the advancement of AFTRA and the teaching profession in Africa.
